Fix Slow QuickTime Starts

If QuickTime video take forever to load over your LAN, change the streaming settings:
  1. Open Edit Menu > Preferences > QuickTime Preferences
  2. Select Streaming
  3. For Streaming Speed select Intranet / LAN
  4. Enable 'Instant On'
  5. Slide the 'Play Streams' button to the far left, so it's 'Instantly'.
After this videos should start instantly.
